As a Canadian citizen, you have democratic rights. This includes the ability to run for office. This means you can run in municipal, provincial or federal elections, if you are interested.

If you decide to run for office you can run as an independent candidate not tied to a political party. Or, you can start by joining a youth wing of any of the major parties in Canada:
